Don't Start on a Monday

"Start where you are, Use what you have, Do what you can"

Chances are you have either slightly or fully committed to starting this life-change since you have made it this far, and I just want to give you a big high five.  Change can be hard and scary, but I'm going to try and make it as simple and do-able as possible to follow.  So instead of saying that you will start after this week, or you will begin again on Monday, throw out the idea of all or nothing and start today.  Right now is a great time!

Also you are possibly here because you have tried other things like this before, and all of it has produced similar results.  Or what you are doing in the past no longer works and you are assuming its just you getting older.  What if we could make some small changes that would yield big results for you.   Get excited because it can happen!

I have been a Personal Trainer for 11 years, and I have seen so many exercise fads and trendy diets pass in that amount of time that even the pros get confused on what to do.  When I was a trainer in my younger years, I followed a very simple plan to help my clients lose weight, get in shape, and improve their health.   A lot of times the methods that I followed based on the information I had available at the time worked like they were supposed to.  They ate less calories than they burned and they lost weight.  They started running or had a race goal, and were able to improve their health and get in shape.

But there were a few times that were frustrating to me as a trainer because I would follow what I was taught, and nothing would budge. Their scale and body fat percentage gave us the finger week after week even though they were logging in extra time at the gym, and writing down every calorie they ate . They were physically improving which was great, but the extra weight they needed to lose wasn't coming off.  I knew there had to be more involved in why these people were not seeing results.  I secretly figured they were cheating on their diet at home and just didn't want to admit it to me.

It wasn't until many years later that I went through my own health issues after a really stressful period that I saw my own body not respond like it use to.  I was a wreck- My hormones were in the dump, I developed chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia, I couldn't sleep, and I had to quit my job as a trainer, fitness instructor, and pro athlete.  This is really not even touching the depths of how bad it got, but the point was that I saw how much stress had affected my body, and how much it had a role in my health decline.

I had to do a complete overhaul of my health and fitness programs.  I found that many of us are not losing weight because of little things that are leaving us perpetually and chronically stressed out.  I started noticing how too much exercise and not enough nutrition puts our bodies into survival mode.  I found out important hormone health is, and how it can keep our bodies from performing and shedding excess pounds, recovering from workouts, gaining muscle, and making us feel like sludge.   My programs became less about quantity and more about daily movement.  We focused less on weight loss, and more on personal health.  When we started focusing on things, my clients started seeing the results we were hoping for.

Stress Reduction is the Missing Link

Psychology Today says this about weight loss -

"There appears to be a triple whammy in play that makes it difficult for people who are chronically stressed to lose weight. First, stress creates the desire to eat more. Second, stress triggers the release of hormones such as cortisol and betatrophin that increase abdominal fat and slow metabolism respectively. Third, fat-to-brain signaling appears to increase stress levels as part of a feedback loop that entrenches this vicious cycle."

Stress can also affect our sleep, our digestion, our nutrient absorption, or mental state, or relationships, and how positive we are in our own lives.  That is why reducing stress in the sections following is key to addressing what's going on in your body.  Folks I'm gonna give a whole load of ways  for you to reduce stress you may not even know you are experiencing in this program.   They are going to put your body in the ideal state to achieve your goals, whether it be improving your health, getting stronger, losing weight, or They are things you can do now, and they are free and easy to start

I'm giving you keys to lower your stress hormones so that your body will perform optimally.  This program is designed to give you results that you weren't getting because maybe the little things weren't addressed.  That's why you haven't gotten the results you want.
